IMPORTANT NOTICE:

NOTE ON BEHALF OF THE PGA TOUR LATINOAMERICA COMMISIONER;

"As it was stated on our original message, the growth and development of the Puerto Rico Open within the PGA TOUR, and its position within the calendar being to close to the date of the 2013 Puerto Rico Classic, has been causing some trouble and difficulties for the local host organization to finalize agreements with local corporate sponsors and the Tourism Company, as the Title Sponsor. For that reason, we have working very close with our partners in Puerto Rico to accomodate the Puerto Rico Classic between the dates of Sept.30 to Oct. 6.

 

We look forward to finalize our plans and all details regarding this matter in the next weeks when it will be communicated to all of you in order to start working on your travel plans for the second part of the 2013 season. It is important for all to be aware that all entries into the Puerto Rico Classic have been cancelled and therefore it will be necessary for each player to register again when the formal "new date" is announced."

"Como les comunique en el mensaje original, el crecimiento del Puerto Rico Open en el PGA Tour, y su posición en el calendario tan cerca al Puerto Rico Classic, estaba causando dificultad con los patrocinadores locales y el apoyo de los grupos locales de turismo. Por esa razón, estamos trabajando muy de cerca con nuestros socios en Puerto Rico para mover el Puerto Rico Classic a la semana del 30-6 de octubre.

 

Esperamos finalizar esos planes en las próximas semanas, y le notificaremos cuando lo tengamos asegurado de modo que puedan comenzar a hacer sus planes de viaje para la segunda mitad de la temporada. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que todas las entradas para el Clásico Puerto Rico se han cancelado, así que cuando formalmente anunciemos la nueva fecha tendrán que volver a registrarse para el evento."
